MISSION PORTFOLIO

2020 sucked for a lot of young creatives, so Clare McNally and Magnus Mynderup-Bjørnshave created Mission Portfolio to help them get their dream jobs in a nightmare year. The project launched during lockdown with a downloadable PFH (Print From Home) portfolio poster packed with advice. The mission then continued on instagram with even more inspiration and support ... and 'Portfolio of the month' was born. Follow if you'd like great portfolio tips and inspiration from creative leaders and some of the best young teams in the world. You can read more about the project here and in Creative Review.

Instagram caption — Yay, it’s May! And we’ve got a new Portfolio of the Month for you! Congrats to the power team of Mette Hau Larsen & Sally Katrine Trier who got snapped up at &Co in Copenhagen just after interning and before even graduating. Yip, this team rocks. They’ve won at D&AD New Blood and Creative Conscience Awards and love learning new skills and growing as creatives - “We don’t have a clue how to create many things, but you can get far with curiosity and Youtube”. They knew zero about coding before making their portfolio website, but just figured it out.

Their advice for you? “Make projects about things you find interesting and fun as it keeps you motivated through the tough times. And, if somebody doesn’t like your work, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s bad. Just see it as an opportunity to get better and ask what can be changed”. On top of their portfolio website, they have their own solo websites for art, hobbies and passion projects. And they use LinkedIn for a bit of team trumpet blowing. Oh, and ... Sally and Mette once lost most of their great work in a hard-drive crash so they think you should “Make a back-up of your projects N-O-W!” Like … why you still reading? No work. No portfolio! GO!
